APT uses the protocol of Trystero which is a purely front end JavaScript webRTC matchmaking system. This allows serverless peer to peer services. There is no external dependencies and no servers. the APT can be downloaded from github and run completely static so that you can audit and trust the code and fully eliminate the need for central servers making this a truly decentralized chat.
